Steel Pipes Plumbing and its usage

There are two kinds of Steel pipes which are being use in the industry for different purposes. The one of them is carbon steel Pipes and the second is iron steel pipes. These pipes are manufactured in different sizes and specification as per customer request.

Steel pipes and Pipe Nipples are mostly use for the supply of Oil and gas by them and use in different industries like petrochemical industry, chemical industry, Pharmaceutical etc.

These Pipes get manufactured in different sizes most of the sizes are from 1”/ 4” in Pipe Nipples and length is 6meter length schedule 40. 

This steel pipe can’t be use for underground lines but except this it can be use for the supply of every kind of liquid depend on the industry.

Plumbing Problem- Broken and Frozen Pipes and Its Solution

In recent days due to very cold weather plumbing job has became very difficult and in areas like Virginia Beach is has created many problems for the plumber as well as plumbing industry.

Among 300 case in the country that has been raise in mobile court community more than 100 are of broken pipe and this broken pipe issue come due to the weakness of the pipe joints. When high pressure fluid pass through the pipes due to thin wall the pipe does not able to get sustain for the longer period of time. Many people complain that they haven’t had water since last week and other said the pressure of the water is so slow that they can’t event take bath.

By their research they identified that the reason behind the problem is pipes get break from the joint part due to which water and gas leaks out due to hole in pipe.

Do you know what is the main reason behind pipe bust of Pipe, it is usually because of using low quality material pipes which are not as per the standard of ASTM . What companies usually do is the use low quality material with low thickness due to which pipes gets rusted very quickly and not able to sustain for the longer period of time.

How to make thread on Pipes and advantages of Rolled threading as compare to cut thread?

Plumbing system need maintenance if you have made with poor quality of piping systems and piping connections. For water piping connection and gas also it is very necessary that the piping connections you are creating have the tendency of sustaining pressure and bend. Because they can be use in low pressure as well as in high pressure. So for the manufacturing firm it is necessary that the piping system they are manufacturing have the tendency to maintain pressure and bend even if they are not maintain for months. But the situation is opposite. The threaded pipes which are use in water and gas piping system especially which are of steel. The thread on steel pipes are manufacture with cut thread technology which make the pipe strength from threaded part very weak and hence the pipe not able to sustain for the longer period of time from threaded part and get leaked. This leakage can create lots of problems and disasters.

PCFSC has introduced a new technology for the threading of pipes with loaded machine. This threading technology is known as Rolled threaded technology.  Rolled threaded technology is safe and green. Now there are two questions that comes in mind.

Why I don’t like to use NPT threads in our hydro carbon systems?

NPT thread is not in my favorite threads due to many reasons. The first reason for disliking NPT thread is that there are too many accidents which are associated with NPT threads. Secondly I have many alternatives available which are safer than using NPT thread. It is very easy to make a mistake when you are using NP thread as it is very similar to ISO 7-1 BSPT which is also known as (tapered thread). Due to difference of angle between NPT and BSPT thread they will going get fit not perfectly sealed due to which high chances of leakage. NPT thread can also be fit with cylindrical thread but yet there will be perfect seal between the thread. To connect NPT male thread with female thread it is important that female thread is also NPT.

There are two kind of thread which are commonly use. One is NPT and the other is NPTF. It’s hard to identify the difference between NPT and NPTF with a naked eye.  For NPT thread to get seal it is important to use tape and paste. Without tape we will face the issue of spiral leak space between the threads when they will be out in the atmosphere.
