How to make thread on Pipes and advantages of Rolled threading as compare to cut thread?

Plumbing system need maintenance if you have made with poor quality of piping systems and piping connections. For water piping connection and gas also it is very necessary that the piping connections you are creating have the tendency of sustaining pressure and bend. Because they can be use in low pressure as well as in high pressure. So for the manufacturing firm it is necessary that the piping system they are manufacturing have the tendency to maintain pressure and bend even if they are not maintain for months. But the situation is opposite. The threaded pipes which are use in water and gas piping system especially which are of steel. The thread on steel pipes are manufacture with cut thread technology which make the pipe strength from threaded part very weak and hence the pipe not able to sustain for the longer period of time from threaded part and get leaked. This leakage can create lots of problems and disasters.

How Rolled threading is safe?

Rolled threading makes the profile of the thread 100% accurate and same for all pipe nipples. If you will compare this with cut threaded Pipe Nipples the tread on cut threaded pipe nipples are made by a knife tool and the strength of tool keep on decreasing which make the profile of the thread different every time the thread is made.

Secondly due to rolled threading the roughness on the threaded part of rolled threaded pipe nipples is less than 0.4 which mean 5-7 times improvement if you compare with cut thread which make the rolled threaded pipe nipples easy to connect with female fitting without using tape and no leakage. Whereas if you see the roughness of cut threaded pipe nipples the roughness of threaded part is greater than 3.2 because of knife tool, which make the thread very bad and not easy to get tight.

Third advantage of Rolled threaded Pipe Nipple is in Galvanized steel pipe nipple when you make the thread by cut threading machine the zinc coat get removed which make the pipe strength to fight against rust very weak and hence it get rusted very quickly. Whereas if you see rolled threaded pipe nipples they are manufactured using Rolling machine in which the zinc remain same on the pipe, so the strength of  the pipe nipple remain same from the threaded part as of the pipe.

Forth advantage of rolled threaded pipe nipple is this that the mechanical properties of Rolled threaded pipe nipples are very strong due to high density and the layers inside the pipe remain combine with each other. So due to high density the oxidization process due to air don’t affect the strength of the pipe nipple and it last for the longer period of time without any rust. Where as if you compare it with cut threaded pipe nipples due to cut the density of pipe is very less from the threaded part and hence it get very easy to get rusted.

Why rolled threaded pipe nipples are green ?

Rolled threaded pipe nipples are manufactured by Rolling machines in which no material of steel get loss. In cut thread lots of material get lost which is very dangerous for the environment and as well as for the country. Secondly it take lot of efforts to separate the steel from dust which make the job more difficult.

Cut threaded Pipe nipples take a lot of time in installation and there is too much of recall work on cut threaded pipe nipples where as if you will compare it with rolled threaded pipe nipples the there is no recall work on Rolled threaded Pipe Nipples and make the life of plumbers very easy as Rolled threaded Pipe Nipples are very easy to joint.

Rolled threaded pipe nipples make sure that there is no leakage even without using any kind of tape and it is best to use in those areas which are too much effected by earthquake as rolled threaded pipe nipples have the tendency to bend without getting break so there is no chance of leakage even if earthquake will come.
